What are we supposed to celebrate? Love? Well, if it's supposed to be love, shouldn't we be celebrating love everyday? Shouldn't our lives be a celebration of love? Idealistic, I know... But really, why are we celebrating Valentine's day?

Why?
When I checked my phone this morning, I saw that a bunch of people texted me Valentine's Day greetings. Sorry folks, but you're texting a non-believer here. I don't mean to sound like a party pooper, but I don't really see the reason for the fuss over Valentine's day (to me, it's just a product of consumerism).
What are we supposed to celebrate? Love? Well, if it's supposed to be love, shouldn't we be celebrating love everyday? Shouldn't our lives be a celebration of love? Idealistic, I know... But really, why are we celebrating Valentine's day?
